1.博士申请:需是985高校本科生;若为境外高校毕业,需是境外知名高校学生;
2.硕士申请:同上,但硕士毕业生不得申请;
3.申请人需是光学、光电子、物理/应用物理、材料相关专业学生;实验能力强者优先;
4.成绩要求GPA3.0/4.0以上(或平均分80分以上);硕士要求可适当放宽;
5.境内学位需提供英文水平证明(托福:网考不低于79分,笔试不低于550分;雅思:平均分不低于6.5分);境外英语教学国家学位免英文成绩;申请时如未获得符合要求的英语成绩可暂缓提交,在入学前提交即可。

2. 学校同香港中文大学的关系:标准相同,校区独立,不相互隶属;招生独立,教学独立,但教学水准由香港中文大学教务会审批并监督;
3. 学制:4-5年;同专业硕士学位入学后4年;本科学位入学后5年;课题组鼓励优秀博士生提起毕业;2020年课题组第一位博士生周陶杰(南开大学物理专业本科毕业)将以7篇一作文章(包含Nat com)的水准申请提前毕业;
4. 学费/奖学金:博士全免学费并提供奖学金;硕士学费9.5万(优秀者课题组给予补贴);
5. 毕业标准:标准由港中文校务委员会审批并监督,同香港持平。鼓励优秀学生提前毕业;

7. 课题组奖学金具体额度:学院奖学金额度每年调整,以收到offer为准(不少于每月5000人民币);课题组将根据申请人情况在奖金中匹配(如申请人拿到顶尖学校offer而选择来我课题组,将予以金额上的匹配);
8. 课题组之前有毕业生吗:课题组有硕士毕业生,今年第一个博士毕业生申请提前毕业,已经拿到35万年薪工作;
9. 课题组博士毕业生去向和薪资:课题组科研从事领域为国家急需的(光)芯片领域,毕业后就业以国际知名半导体芯片公司为目标,优秀者将留校任教。目前博士毕业生收入水准在30-42万/年以上;
10. 硕士生有机会转成博士项目吗?硕士生有优秀科研表现者在1年结束或2年结束时可转博;
11. 课题组博士硕士名额还有几个?由于港中文(深圳)发放香港中文大学学位,名额非教育部分配,目前暂无限制;目前课题组计划每年招收3-4名博士生,硕士生若干;
12. 英文成绩在截止日期前还未出来怎么办?申请时如未获得符合要求的英语成绩可暂缓提交,在入学前提交即可。在英语授课国家学习的学生可免英文成绩。


To qualify as a PhD student, you should hold, or expect to hold by the time of admission, a bachelor's or master’s level degree in physics, optics, optoelectronics, materials or a closely related field. We only accept students from 985 university and prestigious college and university overseas with a GPA higher than 80/100 or 3.2/4.0. Students from 211 university with strong ability also are considered. To qualify as a Mphil student, you should hold, or expect to hold by the time of admission, a bachelor's level degree in physics, optics, optoelectronics, materials or a closely related field, and don’t hold a previous master‘s level degree. We accept students from 985/211 university and prestigious college and university overseas with a good GPA.


The position requires good communication skills in written English. Applicants who do not have English as their mother tongue need to provide documentation of good communication skills in English, typically evidenced by an English language test, for example TOEFL 550 (paper-based)/TOEFL 79 (internet-based)/IELTS Band 6.5. You must submit your English test scores before the time of admission.

Nano Optoelectronics Group (NOEL) has three main research areas including Semiconductor-laser devices, Organic optoelectronic devices and solar thermal photovoltaics. The lab has the capability of fabricating and testing for various devices. This includes core III/V fabrication tools (such as mask aligner, inductively coupled plasma etcher (ICP), oxidation furnaces), photoluminescence and electroluminescence testing system with spectral range from visible to NIR(Near infra-red spectroscopy) and with temperature range from liquid helium to room temperature, ultrafast optical measurement system with femtosecond laser and streak camera, organic devices fabrication and testing tools (glovebox-thermal evaporation system, EQE measurement system) and solar simulator. Currently, there are 10 members in the lab (PI, 1 engineer, 2 research fellows, 4 PHD candidates and 1 research assistants). Our research results have been published on various high impact journals such as Nature Communications, Nano Lett., Appl. Phys. Lett., Appl. Phys. A, Opt. Express, AIP Adv. and RSC Adv..
